Since the early 1980's the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre has been at the forefront of leadership training, team building and corporate facilitation programmes. 

OPC is certainly not your run of the mill corporate retreat.

For a start we offer two very unique facilities.

The first - Tongariro - is based at National Park in the heart of the North Island's great plateau. 15 minutes from the ski slopes in winter and 10 minutes from any number of New Zealand's great walks in summer, National Park is an environment that will leave staff motivated, inspired and refreshed - and that is before the sessions start!

The second - Great Barrier Island - is off the coast of Auckland in one of the great Maritime Heritage Parks. Great Barrier is one of those places that every New Zealander should have on their "must-go-there" list, and this is one of the reasons the environment is so unique. Great Barrier allows colleagues to literally get away, refocus and re-energise.

Both facilities offer live in accommodation, full dining options from OPC's in house catering team, seperate conference lounge with  break-out rooms, as well as relaxation areas and a variety of activity options and all this while nestled in some of the most beautiful and magnificant surroundings in the world.

OPC are leaders in extending your learning from the board room to the outdoors. We offer extramural options that are second to none and instructors who can lead you through team building exercises, outdoor recreation activities and leadership scenarios that will definately bring the best out of your team.
